110 not-for-profits are scrambling to be the first to get their contributors to send checks in before the SKILLMAN FOUNDATION matching funds run out!
Skillman will match a monetary gift of $10 to $1,500 per person until their Summer Dream Funds are exhausted (or your contributions reach $10,000!). There is no telling when the matching money will RUN OUT! Each year the funds are being depleted sooner then the last!

Dear Friends,
We believe strongly that "Camp" is not just a place, but a nurturing community filled with new friends, wonderful role models, and character building challenges.
We believe that both Day Camp and Overnight "Camp"...
• encourages children to better themselves
• teaches them to use their strengths to overcome life’s challenges
• immerses them in their environment, pure and simple
• develops their mind, body and spirit
• shows them that people really do care
Children dream of a place like this...
If we could each reach out and help just one child’s dream come true, we could change their lives for the better. They could go on to change their community for the better, and who knows... that little change could go on to make a better world.
Help us provide this opportunity to every child who needs it...
With everyone’s help we can make it happen! The Detroit Free Press Charities Inc. developed the Summer Dreams Program to help children who need financial aid attend camp. The Skillman Foundation joined with them by offering matching funds for the first $200,000 donated by individuals from 110 organizations and camps selected to be in the project. Up to $1,500 of an individuals donation will be matched by Skillman until the funds run out.
